When Stones Begin to Speak: A Wake‑Up Call for Our Community
The time has come for us to reclaim our place. To organize. To build. To rise.
There is a powerful moment in the Bible when Jesus tells His disciples that if they refuse to serve and worship God, God could raise up worshipers from stones. The message is unmistakable: no one is irreplaceable when they abandon their purpose. Today, this message speaks directly to us.
For too long, our community has been asleep — not because we lack intelligence, talent, or potential, but because we have not fully awakened to the responsibility and power we carry. If we do not rise, unite, and build a stronger, more stable, and more ambitious community, we risk becoming irrelevant in a world that is moving forward without us.

And history has already shown us what irrelevance looks like. More than 20 million of our brothers and sisters have died in the East of Congo, and the world barely reacted. Life continued as usual. People kept enjoying technologies built from the rare earth extracted from under our feet.
In a symbolic way, the stones of our land became more valuable than the people meant to protect and uplift it. In many ways, Jesus was speaking about us.
The New Replacement
Today, with the rise of Generative AI — built from those same minerals — we are witnessing another form of replacement. Machines are taking our place in workplaces. And in the countries where we sought refuge, our lack of organization and economic power has made us vulnerable.
Even legal status is no longer a guarantee of safety or stability.
Why We Are Vulnerable
  • Because we built nothing together…
  • Because we organized nothing financially or structurally…
  • We have become easy targets for political manipulation and propaganda.

But this story does not have to end in defeat.
This is a call to action — a call to wake up, to rise, and to build. Through Community Dream Makers ACT (CDMA), we have the opportunity to create a diaspora that is stronger, more stable, wealthier, and more relevant. A diaspora that cannot be ignored. A diaspora that stands together, protects its own, and shapes its own future.
